Product Description
Arize is an extensively hydrolysed rice protein infant formula with 2'-fucosyllactose (2'-FL) for special medical purposes. This formula is designed for use under medical supervision and is suitable as a sole source of nutrition for older infants and for children. Arize can be fed from a cup or mixed with cereal or other solid foods, as advised by a healthcare professional.
The formula features rice-hydrolysed protein (94.7% of protein source) and L-lysine monohydrochloride (3.84%), with L-threonine (0.97%) and L-tryptophan (0.49%) added. The protein is extensively hydrolysed to reduce allergenicity, making it suitable for dietary management of cow's milk protein allergy and other conditions where an extensively hydrolysed formula is indicated.
Arize contains 2'-fucosyllactose (2'-FL), a human milk oligosaccharide (HMO) that supports immune function and gut health. The formula also includes arachidonic acid (AA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) for brain and eye development, as well as nucleotides for immune support.
The carbohydrate blend consists of maltodextrin (62.17%), glucose syrup dehydrated (17.87%), sucrose (11.53%), precooked corn starch (8.08%), and 2'-fucosyllactose (2'-FL) oligosaccharide (0.35%). The fat blend includes high oleic sunflower oil, MCT oil from coconut oil, palm kernel oil, and soy oil in varying proportions.
Arize is clinically lactose free (lactose content less than 68 mg/L as fed), gluten free, milk free, and suitable for vegetarians. The formula has a low osmolality of 227 mOsm/kg H₂O, making it gentle on the infant's digestive system.
Important Notice
Breast milk is best for infants and, where possible, is recommended for as long as possible during infancy. Infant formulas for special medical purposes should be used only on the advice of a healthcare professional.
Breastfeeding is best for babies. Professional advice should be followed on the need for infant formulas and how they should be used (e.g. volume and frequency of feeds).

Precautions
- Breastfeeding is best for babies. Professional advice should be followed on the need for infant formulas and how they should be used (e.g. volume and frequency of feeds)
- Whilst they are made under hygienic conditions, powdered infant formulas are not sterile. Proper hygiene, preparation, use and storage are important when preparing infant formula. Failure to follow the preparation instructions could make baby ill
- Carers should not make any additions to the feed without consulting their pharmacist or dietitian
- Babies should never be left alone at feeding times
- Never use a microwave to prepare or warm formula. Serious burns can result
- Good dental hygiene is important for babies and toddlers. Do not use a feeding bottle as a comforter and move baby to a trainer cup from 6 months if possible
