Polycal Liquid is a ready-to-use, concentrated carbohydrate supplement drink containing maltodextrin and glucose syrup as energy sources with minimal electrolytes.
Demineralised water, Maltodextrin, Glucose Syrup, Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid).

Indications
For enteral use only. ACBS approved, prescribable on form FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for disease-related malnutrition, malabsorption states or other conditions requiring fortification with a high or readily available carbohydrate supplement.
Suitable For:
- Patients with renal failure
- Liver cirrhosis
- Disaccharide intolerance (without isomaltose intolerance)
- Disorders of amino acid metabolism
- Whole protein intolerance
- Proven hypoglycaemia requiring high energy, low fluid, low electrolyte diet
- Fat-free or mineral-restricted diets
- Glucose intolerance tests (113ml provides equivalent carbohydrate load to 75g anhydrous glucose)

Polycal Liquid is ready to drink and is best served chilled. It can be taken undiluted or diluted according to individual preference and medical requirements.
Preparation Instructions
- Shake well before use.
- Serve chilled for best taste.
- Can be taken undiluted as a concentrated energy supplement.
- Can be diluted with water or other suitable beverages if preferred.
- Consume within 24 hours of opening.
Dosage Information
The recommended dosage is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a clinician or dietitian. Typical usage is 1-2 bottles (200-400ml) per day as an energy supplement.
Storage & Shelf Life
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place (5-25°C). Shake well before use. Once opened, store in a refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours.
