Preparation Instructions
Important: Because powdered milks are not sterile, failure to follow instructions may make your baby ill.
Preparing Your Baby's Feed
- Wash your hands and sterilise all equipment according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Boil 1 litre of fresh tap water. Leave to cool for no more than 30 minutes (the temperature needs to be at least 70°C). Do not use water that is artificially softened or has been boiled before.
- Pour the required amount of water (see feeding guide) into a sterilised bottle. Be careful of scalding.
- Using only the scoop provided, lightly fill with powder and level off with the leveller built into the rim of the tin. Add the required number of scoops.
- Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and shake well until the powder is fully dissolved.
- Cool bottle under a running cold tap until it is lukewarm. Test the temperature on the inside of your wrist. Feed immediately.
Important Feeding Instructions
- Use only the 4.3g scoop provided.
- Always add one level scoop of powder (4.3g) to each 30ml of cooled, boiled water.
- For hygiene reasons, do not store made up feeds. Use feeds within 2 hours at most.
- Always use freshly boiled and cooled water.
- Always discard unfinished feeds.
- Make up each feed as required.
- Do not heat in a microwave as hot spots may occur and cause scalding.
- Do not add extra scoops of powder, or anything else to your baby's feed.
- Do not leave your child alone during feeding.

Dental Advice
When bottle feeding do not allow prolonged or frequent contact of milk feeds with babies' teeth as this increases the risk of tooth decay. Make sure your baby's teeth are cleaned after the last feed at night.
