Product Description: Peptamen® Junior Liquid is a 1.0 kcal/ml peptide based enteral tube feed formulated for the dietary management of children aged 1-10 years with compromised/ impaired GI function. It is a partially hydrolysed, 100% whey protein formula with 60% of the fat as MCT. Peptamen® Junior Liquid is a nutritionally complete Food for Special Medical Purposes for the dietary management of disease related malnutrition in patients with malabsorption and/ or maldigestion.

Usage & Administration - Peptamen® Junior Liquid 500ml
Administration and Dosage
Shake well before use. 500-2000ml depending on child's requirement or as recommended by a healthcare professional. In order to maintain a constant feed flow, the use of a pump is recommended.
Indications for Use
- ACBS approved, prescribable on form FP10 (GP10 in Scotland)
- Indicated as a sole source of nutrition for children aged 1-10 years on medical grounds for short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, patients with proven inflammatory bowel disease and bowel fistulae
Contraindications
- Unsuitable for patients with a cows' milk protein allergy
Precautions
- Use under medical supervision
- For enteral use only
- Suitable for children above 1 year of age
- Do not add food or drugs to the feed
Shelf Life and Storage
- Shelf Life: 12 months from date of manufacture
- Storage: Store unopened in a cool, dry place
- After Opening: Once spilled use within 24 hours. Unused portion can be recapped, refrigerated and used within 24 hours of opening. If poured out of the pack, cover tightly and use within 6 hours (at room temperature)
