Product Description

PKU Lophlex LQ20 Juicy is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. It is a phenylalanine-free amino acid supplement designed for the dietary management of phenylketonuria (PKU) with improved taste profile. Each 125ml pouch provides 20g of protein equivalent from amino acids with zero phenylalanine content. ACBS approved and prescribable on FP10 (GP10 in Scotland).

Usage & Preparation - PKU Lophlex LQ20 Juicy Berry 125ml

Indications

For enteral use only. For the dietary management of phenylketonuria (PKU) in children from 4 years of age and adults, including pregnant women (in conjunction with standard folic acid supplementation).

Medical Supervision

Must be used under medical supervision. Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition. This product should not be used as the sole source of protein but must be given in conjunction with a natural protein source to supply the phenylalanine, fluid and general nutrition requirements of the patient in quantities as prescribed by a clinician or dietitian.

Preparation Instructions

1. Ready-to-drink pouch - no preparation required
2. Shake vigorously before consumption
3. Best served chilled
4. Water or diluted drinks should be offered/taken at the same time as PKU Lophlex LQ
5. Recommended dosage and timing dependent on age, bodyweight and medical condition - determined by dietitian or clinician only

• Store at room temperature away from sunlight
• Part consumed pouches can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours
• Shelf life: 12 months from date of manufacture when unopened
