Product Description

Complan Shake is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. It is a high energy nutritional supplement based on skimmed milk powder, carbohydrate and fat, with added vitamins and minerals, for the dietary management of disease related malnutrition. Complan Shake can be used to supplement the diet of patients unable to meet their nutritional requirements from regular dietary intake. Complan Shake can be made up with whole milk or added to foods as a fortifier.

Usage & Preparation - Complan Shake Vanilla 57g

Preparation Instructions

1. Pour 50ml whole milk or water into a large glass or mug and add 1 sachet of 57g powder
2. Mix into a smooth cream with a whisk or fork
3. Top up with the remaining 150ml stirring all the time

Dosage Recommendations

• For enteral use only
• Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Only to be used as a supplement to the normal diet
• Use with caution in children aged 3-6 years
• Not suitable for children under 3 years of age
• Not suitable for patients with galactosaemia or cows' milk intolerance

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place (5-25°C). Once reconstituted, use within 2 hours, or store in a refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours. Shelf life: 15 months. Best before date: see bottom of pack or back of sachet.
