Preparation and Directions for Usage
The recommended intake and administration is to be determined by the clinician or dietitian and is dependent on the age, body weight and medical condition of the patient.
Protein Equivalent
PKU sphere15 (27g sachet) = 15g Protein Equivalent (1 sachet = 28mg phenylalanine)
PKU sphere20 (35g sachet) = 20g Protein Equivalent (1 sachet = 36mg phenylalanine)
Preparation Guidelines
- Measure cold water into a cup with a lid (100ml for PKU sphere15)
- Add 1 sachet of PKU sphere
- Secure lid and shake until the powder is fully dissolved
- PKU sphere is now ready to use
The product should be freshly prepared and consumed immediately. If this is not possible then all prepared product must be tightly covered and consumed within 4 hours if kept at room temperature, or within 24 hours if refrigerated. If separation occurs, re-shake before use.
Storage & Shelf Life
Unopened: Store in a cool, dry place.
