Product Description

AYMES Shake is a Food for Special Medical Purposes. It is a high energy oral nutritional supplement based on skimmed milk powder with added carbohydrate, fat, vitamins and minerals. Each 57g sachet provides 440 kcal with 17g of high-quality protein when reconstituted with 200ml whole milk.

The formula is designed for patients with or at risk of disease-related malnutrition. The milkshake-style format when mixed with milk provides excellent palatability and compliance. Can also be made with water if preferred.

Skimmed Milk Powder, Dried Glucose Syrup, Palm Oil, Maltodextrin, Milk Protein Concentrate, Fructose, Sugar, Vitamin & Mineral Premix (Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate, Sodium Ascorbate, Vitamin E, Ferrous Sulphate, Niacotinamide, Zinc Sulphate, Potassium Iodide, Retinyl Acetate, Calcium-D-pantothenate, Cholecalciferol, D-Biotin, Sodium Selenite, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Folic Acid, Copper Sulphate, Manganese Sulphate, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin K1, Riboflavin, Cyanocobalamin), Chromium Trichloride, Sodium Molybdate, Tri Magnesium Dichloride, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin.

Usage & Administration

Indications for Use

ACBS approved for the following indications:

• Short-bowel syndrome
• Intractable malabsorption
• Pre-operative preparation of undernourished patients
• Inflammatory bowel disease
• Total gastrectomy
• Bowel fistulae
• Disease-related malnutrition

Suggested Intake

1-2 servings per day unless otherwise indicated by the clinician or dietitian.

Preparation Instructions

Using a Shaker:

1. Pour 200ml of whole milk (or water) into the shaker
2. Add 1 sachet (57g) of AYMES Shake powder
3. Close the shaker and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until smooth
4. Serve immediately

Using a Whisk or Fork:

1. Pour 200ml of whole milk (or water) into a glass or mug
2. Gradually add 1 sachet (57g) of AYMES Shake powder while whisking continuously
3. Whisk until smooth and fully dissolved
4. Serve immediately

Important: DO NOT USE SHAKER WITH HOT LIQUIDS. Can be served chilled or at room temperature. For best results, use cold milk. Can also be made with hot milk using whisk or fork method, or added to sweet & savoury foods.

Storage Instructions

• Unopened: Store in a cool, dry place (below 25°C)
• Opened: Once reconstituted, consume immediately or refrigerate and use within 24 hours
• Shelf life: 24 months
