This low volume solution is specifically designed for the dietary management of patients with or at risk of disease-related malnutrition, particularly those with increased energy needs or low volume tolerance.
The formula provides 96.8% of energy from fat, making it an ideal supplement for patients who require concentrated energy in minimal volume. Each 120ml bottle delivers 600 kcal, allowing patients to meet their energy requirements without consuming large volumes of liquid. The inclusion of medium chain triglycerides (MCT) provides easily absorbed and rapidly metabolized fat.
Fresubin® 5kcal Shot is completely lactose-free, gluten-free, and protein-free, making it suitable for patients with specific dietary restrictions or those who need to limit protein intake. The formula contains essential vitamins E and K1 to support nutritional status.

Fresubin® 5kcal Shot is a Food for Special Medical Purposes.
Fresubin® 5kcal Shot is prescribable on FP10/GP10 for the following indications: Disease related malnutrition, malabsorption states and other conditions requiring fortification with a high fat supplement.
Dosage
Dosage should be calculated by a clinician or dietitian according to individual requirements.
As a guide for supplementary nutrition: 3-4 x 30ml per day will provide 450-600 kcal
Important: Intake should not exceed 50% of patient's total energy needs.
Preparation
Ready to use - no preparation required. Can be taken directly from the EasyBottle or mixed with food or beverages as directed by a healthcare professional.
