Glucerna Control Coffee is a scientifically formulated ready-to-drink meal replacement by Abbott, specifically designed for adults who want to maintain normal blood glucose levels while managing their weight. Each 220ml bottle provides 223 kcal and 15.4g of protein — classified as high protein under EU nutrition regulations — alongside a low glycaemic index (GI) carbohydrate system that uses slowly digestible sources including corn fibre, sucromalt, isomaltulose, and FOS.

The standout feature of Glucerna Control is chromium — a mineral that contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels, as permitted under EU Regulation 432/2012. The formula uses a unique blend of slowly digestible carbohydrates designed to release glucose gradually, helping avoid the blood sugar spikes associated with fast-digesting carbohydrates. This makes it particularly relevant for people managing pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, or those who are simply monitoring their blood glucose as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Glucerna Control is not the same as Ensure NutriVigor. While both are Abbott products, Glucerna Control is classified as a meal replacement (it can replace a full meal) and is formulated for glucose management. NutriVigor is a nutritional supplement focused on muscle support. Glucerna Control is suitable for adults only, not for children, and not for pregnant or breastfeeding women unless recommended by a healthcare professional.

Usage Instructions

How to Use

1. Shake the bottle well before opening
2. Open and drink directly from the bottle, or pour into a glass
3. Can be enjoyed chilled from the fridge or at room temperature
4. Do not heat in a microwave
5. Once opened, cover, refrigerate, and use within 24 hours

As a Meal Replacement

• Weight loss: Replace 2 main daily meals with 2 bottles per day as part of an energy-restricted diet
