Heparon Junior is a nutritionally complete powdered product containing cow's milk protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins, minerals and trace elements with increased levels of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) and zinc, and a low level of sodium.

Usage Guidelines

- The health of your infant depends on carefully following the directions for preparation and use.
- Incorrect preparation can make your baby ill.
Preparation and Directions for Usage
The quantity of feed and dilution should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only and is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient. Preparation per 100ml ready to feed: Each level scoop provides 4.5g of powder. Every 4 level scoops (18g) of this product requires 90ml (approx. 3 fl. oz) of water to yield the recommended feed concentration (18% w/v i.e. 18g of product made up to 100ml of water). A lower concentration may be required initially until tolerance is achieved.
Bottle Feeding Instructions
- Wash hands thoroughly and clean preparation area. Sterilise bottles and teats.
- Boil fresh water for 5 minutes or until an electric kettle switches off. Cool for at least 30 minutes so that it feels warm to the wrist.
- Pour the required amount of water into a sterilised feeding bottle.
- Fill the scoop provided with powder and level off with a clean, dry knife. Do not press the powder into the scoop. Only use the scoop provided.
- Add the prescribed number of scoops of powder to the water. Replace the cap on the bottle and shake until the powder dissolves.
- Before use, ensure that the feed is at the correct temperature by placing a few drops on the wrist.
- Use immediately after reconstitution. Any prepared product remaining in the bottle after one hour of feeding should be discarded. The prepared product must not be rewarmed during feeding.

Storage & Shelf Life
Shelf Life: 18 months. Best before date: see base of tin.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, use within one month. Always replace container lid after use. Packaged in a protective atmosphere.
