Product Description
Nutilis Powder Sachets are a modified starch instant food and fluid thickener designed for the dietary management of dysphagia. Each convenient 1.25g sachet can be used to modify the texture of both food and fluids to help individuals with swallowing difficulties eat and drink safely.
Nutilis is suitable for thickening hot and cold drinks and for thickening puréed foods such as meats, vegetables, sauces, puddings and fruit. The powder dissolves quickly and easily, providing consistent texture modification for safer swallowing.
Preparation and Directions for Usage
- Follow directions on the Nutilis label for specific consistency levels
- Do not add to boiling liquids as clumping may occur
- Allow hot liquids to cool slightly before adding Nutilis
- Stir well to ensure powder is fully dissolved
- For thickening puréed foods, add Nutilis until desired consistency is reached
- Use only the amount recommended for the desired IDDSI level
- Prepare per serving and use within required timeframe
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place (5-25°C). Opened sachets should be consumed within 24 hours. Unfinished drinks should be consumed within 4 hours, or stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Thickened food can be heated, cooled or frozen without any change in consistency.
Shelf Life
Two years. Best before date: see sachet.
