Ingredients

Preparation and Directions for Usage

Dosage should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only. Check appearance before use and shake well. Use at room temperature. When connected to the giving set (aseptically handled, closed system) this bottle has a maximum hanging time of 24 hours. If the cap has been removed (used as an open system) then the bottle has a hanging time of maximum 8 hours. Packs can be attached directly to a Flocare Pack giving set.

Indications

For enteral use only. ACBS approved, prescribable on form FP10 (GP10 in Scotland) for the following indications: For use as the sole source of nutrition or as a necessary nutritional supplement prescribed on medical grounds for the dietary management of short bowel syndrome, intractable malabsorption, pre-operative preparation of patients who are undernourished, patients with proven inflammatory bowel disease, following total gastrectomy, dysphagia, bowel fistulae, disease-related malnutrition and/or growth failure. Approved for use in children aged between one and six years.

Contra-Indications

Unsuitable for infants and for children with galactosaemia. Not suitable for patients requiring a fibre free diet.

Precautions

Must be used under medical supervision. Suitable as a sole source of nutrition for children from 1 year onwards.

Storage

Store in a dry, cool place (5-25°C) and away from direct sunlight. Once opened, close the bottle and store in a refrigerator for maximum 24 hours.

12 months. Best before date: see top of pack.
