Product Description
Similac High Energy is a high energy infant and young children formula for special medical purposes. This ready-to-feed formula is designed for use under medical supervision and is suitable as a sole source of nutrition or as a nutritional supplement for infants and young children up to 8kg body weight (or 18 months of age) who have faltering growth, increased energy requirements, and/or require a fluid restriction.
The formula provides 1.0 kcal/ml energy density, which is higher than standard infant formulas. It features a balanced macronutrient profile with 50:50 blend of skimmed milk powder and whey protein concentrate as protein sources. The fat blend includes high oleic sunflower oil, coconut oil, and soy oil, with added MCT for easier absorption.
Similac High Energy contains galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) as a source of dietary fibre to support digestive health. The formula also includes arachidonic acid (AA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) for brain and eye development, as well as nucleotides for immune support.
For older babies, the formula can be fed from a cup or mixed with cereal or other solid foods. The convenient 200ml reclosable plastic bottles are ready to feed with no mixing required, making feeding simple and hygienic.
